How big are the boxes and do they stack?

To keep things simple, we have one box size to fit most moving needs. These also stack nicely. The boxes are 27" x 17" x 12" and have 2.5 cubic feet of space.

How much does one box hold?

It depends how well you can pack! One box can hold: 
15 pairs of shoes OR 
48 books OR
15 pairs of shorts and 40 T-shirts OR
40 pairs of jeans

Are the boxes sturdy?

Yes, very. It's never fun to have the bottom of a cardboard box break during an important move. Our boxes are made in the United States of America with durable, thick plastic and weigh about 7 pounds empty.

Why would I pay for boxes when I can find used free ones or buy them at the store?

Collecting free boxes is time consuming and the quality of cardboard may be flimsy with different sizes that won't stack well. Your move takes enough time, we help cut out the hassle and wasted hours of locating boxes, taping, and then breaking down boxes to fit in the trash.
Our boxes are clean, strong, and stack easily. We deliver them to your door and pick them up when you are done - nothing to search for, nothing to assemble, nothing to throw away.

Does each box have a set of wheels?

No, we provide you with "wheels" which is a base for you to stack up to 4 boxes, if it makes your move easier. The individual boxes do not have wheels so they can stack nicely.

What is the maximum weight each box will hold?

Accepted Answer

Our boxes are sturdy and can hold up to 100 pounds. About 7 pounds of that is what the box itself weighs without anything in it. You know your strength best, but we suggest packing up to 40-50 pounds (at most!) in a box. Boxed Up ® is not responsible for any injury incurred while using our services.

I'm not moving, I just need to store belongings during a renovation/remodel. Can I rent boxes?

Yes. That's a great idea and saves buying totes you will only use temporarily. Our boxes are great for packing and stacking while work is being done. We'll deliver and pick up from your home location!

I need to move my office/business. Can I rent boxes?

Absolutely! Our boxes work for home and business moves. Our largest offer on the site is a 75 box package; contact us for a special order request if you need more boxes for a larger office move. boxedupomaha@gmail.com

Is Boxed Up a moving company?

Accepted Answer

We rent boxes for moving, and the moving is up to you. You can hire a moving company who can move our boxes for you – they’ll love that our boxes have handles, are sturdy, and stack nicely.

What if the boxes are damaged while we are renting them?

Accepted Answer

While the boxes are sturdy, they can be damaged if not using them correctly. If they are dragged (not using wheelbases), overstuffed, cracked from excessive use, etc., renter will be charged $35 per damaged box. If using boxes for how they are intended, your rental should be easy and safe.

Can I label the boxes?

Yes. We include removable white labels for you to use, just grab a marker and mark the label with your contents. Any box returned to us with labels we did not provide may be charged a cleaning fee of up to $75, depending on the size of the order and number labels.

How does the ordering process work?

Accepted Answer

Go to the order page and select the package the fits your moving needs. Consider your space and if you are a minimalist or a collector. We will deliver clean boxes to your home (we don’t deliver above the ground floor), you pack the boxes with your belongings, move to your new location and unpack the boxes. We then pick up the boxes from your new location on the agreed upon date and time.  Super easy!

I’m in the middle of my move and I need more boxes! What do I do?

We will make every effort to accommodate your needs, contact us at boxedupomaha@gmail.com with your request. As long as our box supply is not reserved by other customers, an additional fee for the additional boxes and delivery will be charged.

We will make every effort to accommodate your needs, contact us at boxedupomaha@gmail.com with your request. As long as our box supply is not reserved by other customers, an additional fee for extended rental period will be charged.

Can I cancel my order?

Where is the delivery area?

Accepted Answer

Rentals include free delivery and pick-up of boxes and wheels in the greater Omaha-area (Douglas/Sarpy Counties, Council Bluffs and Carter Lake). If you are outside this area, contact us for a delivery fee quote.

Question 18

Will you call me before my delivery and pick up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You will receive a confirmation email from Boxed Up upon first placing your order. We will call you the day before delivery and also the day before pick up to confirm the details.

If I get done with my boxes early, can you pick them up early and will I receive a discount?

Contact us at boxedupomaha@gmail.com if you are done with your boxes early. We will try to accommodate your early pick up but our schedule may not allow it. Unfortunately, we do not give a discount for early return.

When do you deliver and pick up?

We deliver and pick up 7 days a week. Our delivery and pick up hours are Monday through Friday evening (5-8pm) and Saturday and Sunday morning (between 8-11am), afternoon (12-4pm), and evening (5-8pm). We will contact you prior to delivery and pick up with a time estimate.

What if I am outside your delivery area?

Contact us at boxedupomaha@gmail.com if you are outside our delivery area. Depending on your location from the Omaha metro area, we may be able accommodate you for an additional delivery fee.

Can I reschedule my box delivery date?

We will make every effort to accommodate your needs as long as our box supply is not reserved by other customers. Contact us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled box delivery your request at boxedupomaha@gmail.com

How do I pay?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Full payment is required prior to box delivery.

Question 24

Do I need to be home for the delivery and pick up?

Accepted Answer

Yes. An adult over the age of 18 must be present to receive the boxes. We require a confirmation signature of delivery and we can answer any questions you may have. We will also need you to be present upon pick up so we can count and inspect the boxes.

Question 25

Will you bring the boxes upstairs? to my 2nd floor apartment?

Accepted Answer

No. We only deliver boxes to the ground level of a home or office or the first floor of an apartment building.
